You can order Noriday at OnlineClinic in either a three-month batch or six-month batch. If Noriday is a repeat contraceptive for you, six months will reduce the time spent ordering contraception, whilst three months is a good option if you're wishing to try out a new contraceptive. Noriday comes in a 350mcg dosage containing the active ingredient norethisterone, a synthetic version of progestogen. Like all mini pills, women find Noriday is highly effective and very tolerable, as it doesn't contain any oestrogen.
Buying Noriday online is simple; complete a quick consultation to ensure this contraceptive is ideal for you to use. Our pharmacy will then be given your prescription. When ordered before 4.30pm, you will receive the next day free of charge, perfect if you've forgotten to reorder and risk starting late. Once you've ordered once, you can take advantage of our quick reordering service and trigger emails to remind you to buy your next batch.
Noriday is a contraceptive pill that is 99% effective[1] at preventing pregnancy when taken correctly. Under the category of 'mini pills', Noriday is taken orally each day at around the same time and may also be referred to as the POP pill or progestogen-only pill. The synthetic progestogen in Noriday - and its active ingredient - is norethisterone, which is the same ingredient in the period delay pills of the same name. Noriday differs from combined oral contraceptives as it is taken without a seven-day break.
Mini pills like Noriday are particularly popular with women as they're highly tolerable, especially for those who have a negative effect with oestrogen (an active ingredient in combined contraceptives). This also means you can stay protected against pregnancy if you're a smoker, over 35, have migraines or are breastfeeding (something of which the combined pill doesn't cater for).
How to take |
One Noriday tablet should be taken every day with or without food. Each should be taken at around the same time to maintain effectiveness. |
How it works |
Noriday works in three ways to prevent pregnancy by using a synthetic version of progestogen called norethisterone. |
Effectiveness |
Noriday is proven to be approximately 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when used correctly. No oral contraceptives can protect against STIs. |
Dosages |
Noriday contains 350mcg of norethisterone. This is the only dose available that is proven to offer 99% effectiveness with minimal chance of side effects. |
Side effects |
A minority of women may experience mild side effects including nausea, headaches and spotting (bleeding between periods). |
Each Noriday pill has 0.35 milligrams of synthetic progestogen, norethisterone, in it to prevent pregnancy and is nearly 100% effective in doing so. By managing the hormones, Noriday can stop conception in a couple of different ways; by thickening the lining in the cervix, by altering the womb lining so an egg cannot attach and it can also prevent an egg from being release altogether.
To be so successful, Noriday must be taken correctly. For example, if you skip a pill or miss the timeframe in which to take one, this will diminish its effectiveness. For more advise on what to do if you miss a Noriday pill, check our main mini pill page.
Noriday contains 28 pills in each blister pack meaning it is taken continuously without a seven-day break. Once you've finished one blister pack, you move straight on to the next one. If taken on the first day of your period, you will be immediately protected. For any other day of the month, use barrier contraception for seven days after.
As the margin of error can be small, to avoid forgetting to take the pill, you can leave a note next to your alarm clock, set an alarm clock on your phone or any other type of reminder. Taking Noriday first thing in the morning or evening can also make remembering easy.
Noriday is available in one dosage of 350mcg (or 0.35 milligrams in each tablet) that you can buy online from OnlineClinic. You can order either a three month supply or six month supply. This is the recommended dose that offers maximum effectiveness with little chance of side effects.
Mini pills such as Noriday rarely cause side effects, and if so, these tend to be mild and/or temporary. As Noriday only contains progestogen, this means that it is not only highly tolerable but can be used by smokers, women over the age of 35 and for women who suffer from migraines. If you're trying Noriday for the first time, you are encouraged to stick with it for at least three months, as sometimes your body needs time to adjust to the medication. Some side effects associated with Noriday include spotting (bleeding between periods), headaches, slight weight gain and nausea. You may also notice a change in your sex drive. For the full list of side effects, you can read the patient leaflet attached to the right of this page. When buying any medication, you should always follow doctor recommendations and read the medicine information provided in each pack fully.
Noriday pills have a few precautions to take into account. These include the following:
When answering a consultation regarding Noriday, you should always put all medical history and current medications to ensure it is safe for you to use.
It's always worth remembering that Noriday doesn't offer any protection for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Barrier contraception – the most popular being male condoms - are the best option to significantly reduce the risk of contracting an infection. If you experience diarrhoea or vomiting when taking combined contraceptives, effectiveness can diminish and you should refer to the missed pill protocol.
Note: Decisions about treatment are for both the prescriber and the person to jointly consider during the consultation. However, the final decision will always be the prescriber’s.
